Pastor Eddy

The Rev. and Mrs. Edward Frost of Windham have completed their
first year pastoring the Londonderry Church of the Nazarene. Pastor
Eddy is a native of Plymouth in southwestern England. His father
served in the Army, and the family lived in northern England, Hong
Kong, Singapore and Germany before the senior Frost's retirement
back in the United Kingdom. Linda Frost was born in London
and raised in Dunstable, about 30 miles outside the city. The couple
met during their first year at Portsmouth Polytechnic College, now
Portsmouth University. They both graduated in 1982 with degrees
in biology, and were married in April 1983.
While Mrs. Frost worked as a secondary school science teacher in
England, the Rev. Frost worked for IBM and then for the company
that became Ringwood Software. In 1996 the family moved to the United
States so he could manage and build up Ringwood's American operations,
located in Salem, NH. He is presently vice-president and general
manager of Azur Group Inc.
The family settled in Windham and began attending the Windham Church
of the Nazarene, pastored by the Rev. Dennis Scott. While there,
Eddy felt a call to ministry. He is presently a district licensed
minister with the Church of the Nazarene, and is pursuing a master's
degree in divinity through the Nazarene Theological Seminary in
Kansas City, Mo. and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Ma. While
at the Windham church, the Rev. Frost served as minister of pastoral
care and youth leader. Mrs. Frost served as Sunday School superintendent.

In February 2002, the Rev. Frost came to the Londonderry church
as interim pastor after the resignation of the Rev. David Valyou.
The church called him as permanent pastor this past June. The Rev.
Frost characterizes his experience so far as, "Awesome. I'm
totally reliant on God, and that's a good place for a pastor to
be." He sees two emphases to his ministry. "One, the only
thing in the world that is important are people and relationships;
and two, the Bible is the instrument through which God speaks to
us most clearly." Since the Frosts' arrival, the church has
formed a combined youth group with the Windham church, established
a teen praise band, and revived its women's ministry. A Children's
Church program also meets during the worship service.
Linda Frost works full-time as a science teacher at Campbell High
School in Litchfield. She teaches integrated science to freshmen
and sophomores and anatomy and physiology to juniors and seniors.
The couple has two sons, Matthew and Simon.
The Rev. Frost invites others to check out the Londonderry Church
of the Nazarene. "The Good News is as good as it's ever been,"
he says. Services are Sundays: Sunday School: 10 a.m.; morning worship:
11 a.m.; and Sunday life groups: 6 p.m. Other Bible studies meet at various times
in homes of members. The church is currently meeting in the back of
Beginning Discoveries Learning Center, Route 102, Hudson. For more information
