Check back here regularly for updates on LCN happenings:
Haiti Earthquake Disaster response:Nazarene Compassionate Ministry workers, on the ground in Haiti will be co-ordinating response efforts, using the network of local churches, as usual, to provide a trustworthy and efficient conduit of emergency and longer term responses. LCN is responding in two ways: First we are taking up a special financial collection at this coming Saturday 5:30 PM and Sunday 11 AM services. This financial giving will be routed directly to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries to provide immediate relief. You can also give directly online at NCM.ORG Email Pastor at Pastor@LCNNH.org for more details if you wish. Second, we will continue to collect and send Crisis Care Kits. Please bring Crisis Care Kits to the church this weekend for distribution. Again, please email Pastor at Pastor@LCNnh.org for more details if you wish. Here is how to make up a Crisis Care Kit:
Gather new items in quantities listed below. Assemble Crisis Care Kits (CCKs) and seal the Zip-loc bags. Include only those items listed on the inventory. Deviating from this list can cause an entire shipment to be rejected in customs. INSTRUCTIONS: Into a 2-GALLON ZIPLOC BAG put the following items:
1 medium size bottle of shampoo (12 to 18 oz.), please tape flip-tops closed.
2 bars of soap (bath-size or larger).
1 medium toothpaste (4.0 to 6.4 oz.)
3 toothbrushes
1 box of Band-Aids (30 or more)
1 fingernail clipper
1 sturdy hair comb
2 hand towels
4 pocket-size packages of facial tissue
1 Beanie Baby-size stuffed toy.
I am sure that CCKs are already being freighted into Haiti. They will need many more now and in the future. Please buy and bring your CCKs to LCN church this weekend. Thank you. New Ministry Center!
On December 15, 2009 we purchase 5 Tinkham Avenue, Derry, as our new Ministry Center! This 10,700 sq.ft. facility offers us all the room we need to provide a first class nursery, childrens church, teen space and a 250 seat sanctuary for the church to meet. Fit-out of the new space will take 3 months and services are scheduled to start there at Easter 2010 (April 4th). We are so thankfull to our Father God for his faithfulness as we searched for the perfect space to grow. I am thankful for the many friends at LCN that have deeply sacrificed their time, talent and treasure to join in God's enterprise of reaching everybody with the Wonderful News about what Jesus has done and who He is. 2010 - our centennial year - is going to be very special. Saturday Night Worship
We are launching a new Saturday night worship service starting on Saturday October 3rd 2009. Saturday service will run from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM and will be at the LCN premises. We’re excited about this new initiative as it has the potential to connect us to new people that can’t make it to church on Sunday’s. Saturday church will follow the same pattern as our Sunday worship services and so some of LCN’s people will worship on Saturday instead, and not miss any teaching. Because LCN is growing we need to move up to 2 services a weekend to give everyone a chance to worship. So come and join us on Saturdays at LCN. LCN Children’s Ministry Space
Because we are growing, we’ve expanded our space at 292 Derry Road Hudson to include new children’s ministry space next door at 294 Derry Road. We’ve fitted 294 out beautifully with a state of the art child/parent check-in system that provides the security that we all want. A big screen multimedia system complements our great teaching content to offer our Little Lives the very best. New Bus!
After some years of faithful service, we are retiring the much loved ‘red bus’ and replaced it with a nice shiny new gray bus! This is a 12 seater with all the latest safety specs – so our teens and other users will travel in style!
